About 20 kms south-east of Rangdum stands the Penzila axis, lies Zanskar, the most isolated of all the trans-Himalayan valleys. Zanskar Valley can be approached through the road for any part of Jammu and Kashmir. Far from the hustle bustle of city, one can reach Zanskar Vallye by private car and bus. There is no railway station at Zanskar, but one can travel via the nearest railway stations easily.
