1. One can reach Thajwas glacier either by walk or by ponies. 2. Its a one hour trek up to Thajwas glacier 3. A separate Pony track is available for Ponies for Thajwas glacier. 4. Ponies are a costly affair and approximate charges for ponies up to Thajwas and back are Rs. 700 to Rs. 1000 per person 5. There are small tea and snacks stalls available near the base of Thajwas glacier. 6. One needs to be aware of the changing weather in Thajwas glacier so its advisable to carry Rain coats or/and Umbrellas along. 7. The vehicular movement toward Thajwas glacier is banned by Government of J&K . 8. Zojila pass can be approached only by local taxi and not by tourist vehicles coming from Srinagar. 9. Union taxi stand Sonamarg charges Rs. 3500 approximate for two way ride to Zojila pass.
